Working terms
Plain English, no fine print tricks. This is how we work together, from the first build to the site going live on your domain.
What we do
We build a real, working website for your business up front, with your name, your details and the parts your customers actually use, before we ask you to commit to anything. You see the finished thing on your own phone or computer before any money changes hands.
Price
One price, quoted per project once we know what you need, the pages, the features, the amount of content. We tell you the figure before any work goes live on your domain. There is no subscription and no recurring fee for the build itself.
Ongoing care (optional)
After launch we can keep your site hosted, patched and live for a nominal annual care fee, quoted separately. It is optional, and it is not a condition of owning your site.
Payment
You pay in full on approval, after you have seen your working site and said yes, and before it goes live on your own domain. We never ask for payment before you have something real to look at.
Revisions
Revisions to get it right are included in the price. Tell us what to change and we’ll make it. If a project needs more than that, it is easy to sort, we’ll just agree it with you first.
Timeline
Once you’ve given the go-ahead and sent us your content (your final copy, logo, photos and any details we’re missing), your site is usually live within about five business days. Slower content, slower launch, that part is on us to chase, not you.
Ownership
You own your site. Ownership transfers to you in full once payment clears. The code, the content, the domain if we registered it for you, it’s yours to keep, move, or hand to another developer whenever you like. No lock-in.
Hosting
We host the site for you as part of the service, so there’s nothing for you to set up or maintain. If you’d rather host it yourself or move it elsewhere later, that’s your right as the owner, we’ll help you move it.
What we don’t promise
We build the site, keep it fast, and keep it working. We don’t promise customers, bookings, orders or revenue, those depend on your business, your market and plenty of things outside a website. We’re honest about that up front.
Our liability
We perform our work with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for a project is limited to the fees you have paid us for it, and we are not liable for indirect or knock-on losses, or for lost profit, revenue or data. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
If you decide not to go ahead
Cancelling before you’ve given the go-ahead costs you nothing. You’ve paid nothing, you owe nothing, and the preview simply isn’t published anywhere else.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless we’ve agreed something different with you in writing.
Questions
These are our working terms, written in plain language on purpose. If anything here doesn’t make sense, or you’d like to talk through a specific point before you go ahead, just email us, we’re happy to discuss it.
